Account Password Reset
The Account Password Reset User Instruction document describes the steps for resetting the account password through the Admin Portal self-service and describes the steps for resetting the account password when the current password is forgotten. The user instructions steps are divided into the following sections: GDIT Admin Portal Self-Service Password Reset and Forgot Password Reset.
The Account Password Reset User Instruction applies to General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) Technical Shared Services (TSS). The intended audience is IT professionals and GDIT Users. The instruction is divided into two sections listed below and should be followed in sequential order along with respective steps.
- Reset Forgotten Password - use this instruction if you have forgotten your password.
- Self-Service Password Reset - use this instruction if you need to reset your password for any other reasons.
Prerequisite
The following information are required before starting the Account Password Reset User Instruction:
- MSS/MSP account credentials
- SecurID® PIN
- SecurID® Token
- Account security questions
Reset Forgotten Password
- Navigate to https://monocle.msp.tss.gdit.com and you will be redirected to Security Notice.
- Review the Security Notice and click Continue.

- Enter the username provided by MSP Systems or enter the username in the following format in the User Name field and click Next.

- Click Forgot password? link and click Next.
Note: The Forgot password? link will not be present if your account security questions have not been set-up. If you have not set-up your account security questions, please contact TSS Tableau team.

- Select RSA Authentication for the Authentication Method and enter the Passcode.
Note: The passcode is the unique PIN + the SecurIDĀ® Token code.

Click Next. - Select Security Questions for the Authentication Method and click Next.

- Enter the applicable answers to the security questions presented.
Note: If you do not remember the correct answers to the presented security questions, please contact TSS Tableau team.

- Enter your New Password. Re-enter your New Password to confirm.
Note: All fields are required, and the new password inputs must match for a successful password change.

Click Next - Congratulations! You have successfully changed your MSS or MSP account password.
Note: If you receive an error, ensure that your new password is not the same as your current password or that your new password entries match. If an error persists, please contact the TSS POC.
Self-Service Password Reset
- Navigate to https://manage.msp.tss.gdit.com and you will be redirected to Security Notice.
- Review the Security Notice and click Continue.

- Enter the username provided by MSP Systems or enter the username in the following format in the User Name field and click Next.
<username>@mss-msp.local

- Enter the Password and Passcode.
Note: The passcode is the unique PIN + the SecurIDĀ® Token code.

Click Next. - Welcome to Admin Portal Workspace!
Note: If you are unable to successfully sign into the Admin Portal, please contact the TSS POC.

- Hover over and click your User Name. A drop-down menu will appear. Select the Profile option.

- In the Profile interface under the Security tab, Identify Verification section, click on the Password button.

- A Change Your Password prompted will appear. Enter your Current Password and enter your New Password. Re-enter your New Password to confirm.
Note: All fields are required, and the new password inputs must match for a successful password change. A warning icon will appear next to the field that does not meet the criteria.

Click OK once all fields are populated correctly. - Congratulations! You have successfully changed your MSS or MSP account password.
Note: A confirmation message appears if you successfully changed your password.
If you receive an error, ensure that your new password is not the same as your current password. If an error persists, please contact the TSS POC. - Click Close on the uppper right of the Profile interface. You will be redirected to the Admin Portal Workspace.
- Hover over and click your User Name. A drop-down menu will appear. Select a Sign Out option to complete the Account Password Resent instructions.
